My friend Jen was scheduling her annual review with
her financial advisor and invited me along. We
agreed to all meet at a small coffee shop in Fremont.
I was the last one to arrive and saw Jen sitting next
to the cutest guy I had ever seen (at least that I could
remember at the time)!
We got together several times after that, for dinners,
parties, all business related of course. AJ finally
invited me to the movies one day. I said yes, to which
he suddenly remembered he had something else
planned that night! I decided things were not going to
work out for us, the brown tasselled shoes and
braided belt didn't help.
New Year's Eve came and neither of us had made
plans. We decided to head downtown with some
friends and celebrate at Polly Ester's. After many
drinks, dancing on stage and ending up on the local
news, we shared a New Years kiss that never
ended...
I have always believed that you will find the
person of your dreams when you least expect it
and boy, let me tell you that that's exactly what
happened to me. The first time I saw her I was
speechless. Here I was meeting an old friend
and client and she had invited a friend of hers
with her. I had the hardest time focusing on
business and not staring at her. She had said
that she was interested in the finance business
and so we began to get more acquainted over the
next few weeks.
As the New Year arrived a few of us went to a
local night club. Tammy of course was the first
person that I made sure was going to show. That
night we danced and toasted in the New Year. I
so wanted to kiss her but was terrified of ruining
the relationship we had developed this far. Then
I took the plunge and gave her a kiss. I was not
expecting her to kiss me back, but she sure did! :)
